Job Title : HR Leader – IT Recruitment (Japan)

Location : Japan (Relocate to Japan is required)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Leader to join our team and drive recruitment efforts for IT positions in Japan. This role is crucial in helping us build a strong employer brand and attract top talent, particularly for key roles such as BrSE, Frontend Project Managers, Software Engineers , and Japanese-speaking IT Sales . The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Japan’s hiring landscape, strong content creation skills, and the ability to lead recruitment initiatives independently and creatively.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (70%)

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for IT positions in Japan, including BrSE, PMs, SEs, IT Sales, and more.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality candidate pipeline using various channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, ITviec, TopDev, etc.).
  • Coordinate closely with the Vietnam HR team to fulfill cross-border hiring needs.
  • Continuously analyze and improve recruitment processes, tools, and employer branding strategies.
  • Proactively source and approach potential candidates, ensuring a strong talent network is always available.

Employer Branding & Engagement (30%)

  • Plan and execute employer branding campaigns tailored to the Japanese market.
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events, university outreach programs, and IT job fairs across Japan (e.g., Tokyo, Osaka).
  • Create engaging content for recruitment marketing across digital platforms and social media.
  • Foster brand presence and visibility to attract top IT talent.
  • Team Collaboration & Development

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and report to the Head of Department.
  • Participate in strategic HR planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior HR staff if needed.
  • Contribute to the long-term goal of becoming HR Manager of HBLAB Japan (for senior candidates).
  • Requirements

    Must-Have :

  • Fluent in Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N2 or above).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT recruitment within tech companies.
  • Proven track record in organizing or supporting recruitment / enrollment events in Japan.
  • Currently living and working in Japan, with a strong understanding of Japanese business culture.
  • Strong content creation, copywriting, and employer branding skills.
  • Experience with building and managing databases of IT candidates (Developer, PM, Tech Lead, BrSE, IT Comtor, Japanese-speaking BA, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge and usage of recruitment platforms : LinkedIn, Facebook, VietnamWorks, ITviec, TopCV, TopDev, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Preferred :

  • Team management experience and a career aspiration to grow into an HR Manager role at HBLAB Japan.
