Field Operations & Maintenance Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Operations & Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our battery swap stations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, coupled with hands-on experience in maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including site surveys, installation support, station monitoring, maintenance, and SLA management. This position requires frequent site visits and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a vital role in expanding our energy network and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent site surveys to assess potential locations for new swap stations, including photo documentation, cost estimation, and technical coordination.
- Provide installation support, training, and acceptance testing for new swap stations, including vendor coordination, construction quality checks, and material verification.
- Perform routine patrols and inspections of battery swap stations to identify and address potential issues.
- Respond immediately to fault alerts from the control center and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor station status and manage alerts via our operations system.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting, consumables replacement, and scheduled maintenance at swap stations.
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by analyzing downtime and identifying opportunities for environmental and charging efficiency improvements.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for long-term improvements.
- Collaborate with power companies and contractors to build new charging stations sites and optimize existing ones.
- Contribute to the expansion of our energy network and the improvement of operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Min 3 years of experience in the field with proven experience as an Electricity Engineer.Hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting electrical systems.Strong understanding of electrical schematics and diagrams.Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and reporting.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various site locations.Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to electrical work.Nice to have
Experience with charging or swap station maintenance is a plus.Experience installing charging or swap stations is a plus.
