Power Electronics Engineer – EV Charging Systems.

In this role, you’ll drive the design and development of advanced power electronic hardware for both Level 2 (J1772) and high-power DC fast charging (DCFC) systems.
As part of our multidisciplinary electrification team, you’ll play a key role in delivering robust, efficient, and standards-compliant charging solutions that drive the adoption of clean transportation worldwide.

Key Responsibilities :
- Design and optimize high-efficiency power conversion systems (AC / DC, DC / DC) for EV charging applications across multiple voltage classes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, battery management, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration into both vehicle platforms and off-board charging infrastructure.
- Conduct simulation and hardware validation for powertrain efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), thermal performance, and safety compliance.
- Ensure compliance with global EV charging standards and protocols, including SAE J1772, CCS, NACS, CHAdeMO, ISO 15118, IEC 61851, and support for communication protocols. (ISO 15118, OCPP).
- Own the development of technical documentation, including schematics, design justifications, FMEAs, DFMEAs, and validation reports, aligned with automotive functional safety (ISO 26262).
- Interface with manufacturing and quality teams to support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and high-voltage safety procedures throughout prototyping and production.
- Continuously research and implement emerging trends in power electronics, including solid-state transformers, wireless charging, and AI-based energy management.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related discipline.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing and validating power electronic systems in the EV, automotive, or high-power industrial sectors.In-depth knowledge of wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN), magnetics design, and thermal management techniques.Practical experience with hardware bring-up, high-voltage lab environments and instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal design).Strong understanding of EV communication and charging protocols, including ISO 15118-20, Plug & Charge, and dynamic load balancing strategies.Proven track record in prototype development, troubleshooting, and iterative product refinement.Hands on experience in thermal simulation, design to ensure power electronics perform optimally.Suggest improvements in enclosure design for efficient ventilation / air circulation.Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including UL, IEC, and automotive EMC / safety standards.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.Why Join Us? :
