Java Developer

Job Description

Design and implement testing tools for the programme in Agile fashion.

Leverage newer technologies in Java / Golang / Python and develop solutions to expedite the test cycles.

Work closely with the application development and product team to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the product.

Development of common tools and frameworks to help testing products in a more efficient way.

Enhance the vision of human free testing by removing all touch points in the process.

Implement Test and Mock data for use during sprint and all stages of testing.

Job Qualifications

5-10+ years experience in backend Java / full stack development for modern applications

3+ years of experience in designing and implementing medium to large scale application frameworks / products for large scale banking systems.

Experience in Spring, Junit, Wiremock, Gatling, Cucumber-JVM is required.

Excellent understanding of Core Java (Java 11+).

Understanding of mobile / web UI automation using Appium, Playwright or equivalent tools.

Working understanding of dockers, Kubernetes and other deployment and infrastructure as code technologies

Basic understanding of Scala.

Interest in building innovative tools / bots to reduce human intervention.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development / design issues using clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines

Excellent understanding of CI / CD pipeline

Experience in designing simple, medium and complex SQL queries for Database Validation as part of developing automation scripts

Good understanding of end-to-end development process using agile methodologies

Understanding of asynchronous messaging using Kafka / Solace is required.

Candidate should have ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly

Be nice, respectful, able to work in a team

Ability to succeed in high energy, dynamic environment

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of retail banking is a plus
