Our client is a top-notch manufacturing company that is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Ensure purchase orders are accurately and promptly sent to vendors, including all necessary details such as product / service specifications, quantity, approved pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions, and deadlines.
Communicate and negotiate with vendors regarding goods / services, pricing, delivery schedules, methods, and payment terms.
Submit proposals for price adjustments and vendor approvals according to the company's internal protocols.
Monitor timely arrival of goods as required by internal departments.
Verify accuracy and punctuality of import documentation; forward documents to the logistics team for insurance and customs clearance.
Process vendor payments promptly.
Identify and develop new products, services, and suppliers based on requests from other departments, sales, and production plans.
Collaborate with warehouse and requesting departments to resolve issues related to delivery, packaging, labeling, and packaging specifications to ensure on-time vendor delivery.
Work with the Quality Assurance department to address product / service quality issues with suppliers.
Coordinate with manufacturing, technical, and QA departments to resolve production issues related to procured items.
Cooperate with technical teams to enhance goods / services and assist in product development.
Lead procurement team activities and take responsibility for the team's performance and progress.
Provide training for procurement staff.
Manage supplier capacities and advise management on necessary adjustments to meet production schedules or vendor substitutions when needed.
Recommend policies related to suppliers.
Monitor and forecast fluctuations in raw material prices, relevant macroeconomic policies affecting import-export processes and international logistics to advise management and concerned departments.
Execute additional tasks assigned by the manager.
Report directly to the manager.
Requirements
University degree in foreign languages, economics, import-export, or engineering.
More than 5 years of experience in procurement roles, handling both domestic and imported goods, sourcing locally and internationally, with team leadership experience.
Skilled in vendor development and evaluation, particularly in purchasing metal and mechanical products.
Proficient knowledge of import-export procedures, fluency in English and Chinese.
Competent in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and ERP systems.
Strong leadership, coordination, and analytical skills.
Agile, diligent, team-oriented, capable of leading others, and keen on continuous learning.
