Senior Tester

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Tester  to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products, particularly within an environment leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools. This role requires a strong background in traditional QA methodologies, coupled with an essential understanding of data pipelines, model validation, and automated testing across complex distributed systems, including high-traffic CMS and E-commerce platforms.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Quality Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement comprehensive, risk-based QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for traditional software features,  CMS / E-commerce functionality , and AI / ML-driven components.
• Collaborate   closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to define clear quality standards, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for AI model performance (e.g., precision, recall, F1-score, latency).
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.

Execution and Validation

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks and scripts ( e.g playwright, Selenium...) to cover unit, integration,  API , and  End-to-End (E2E)  testing, with a focus on integrating tests within CI / CD pipelines.
• Functional Platform Testing :  Lead testing efforts for core business platforms, including validating functionality related to  Content Management (CMS) , storefront experience, checkout processes, payment integrations, and inventory management in an E-commerce context.
• API and Distributed Systems Testing :  Deeply test  APIs (REST / SOAP)  and microservices to validate business logic, data contracts, performance, and the inference endpoints of AI models.
• End-to-End Workflow Testing :  Design and execute comprehensive E2E test suites to ensure the entire customer journey from UI input through back-end services and AI inference is seamless and defect-free.

Specialized AI / ML Testing :

• Validate the AI data pipelines for quality, integrity, and consistency
• Verify the accuracy, bias, robustness, and fairness of machine learning models and their predictions in real-world scenarios
• Test the integration of AI-driven features (e.g., personalized recommendations, smart search) within the CMS / E-commerce experience
• Execute manual and exploratory testing to identify usability issues, particularly for complex scenarios where AI output impacts the user experience

Reporting and Analysis

• Analyze test results, defect trends, and quality metrics to provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders
• Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues, focusing on failures in software, underlying models, or data quality

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience : 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a Senior or Lead QA role
• Platform Experience :  Proven experience testing complex, high-traffic web applications, including dedicated experience with  CMS platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Umbraco, Kentico)   or  E-commerce platforms (e.g., Optimizely Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, custom solutions)
• Technical Skills :

Expertise in designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca) for web, mobile, and API testing

• Deep expertise in testing  APIs (REST / SOAP)  and microservices, using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent
• Proven experience designing and executing comprehensive End-to-End (E2E) test suites
• Proficiency in at least one scripting / programming language (SQL script, C#..) for automation and data validation
• Have knowledge of SQL for database testing and data verification
• Experience working with code management, CI / CD pipelines(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• AI / ML Familiarity
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, ..and services relevant to MLOps
• Soft Skills :  Excellent problem-solving, English communication (written and verbal), and collaboration skills.
• Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, ..and services relevant to MLOps

• Familiarity with tools for tracking and managing ML experiments (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Experience with testing payment gateways, inventory synchronization, and complex pricing / promotion rules typical of E-commerce
• Experience with performance and security testing.
