The Job

Role Overview :

We are currently seeking highly qualified professionals to join our team as Country Expert for the East Asia region

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in law, academia, journalism, political science, or NGO / human rights work, who possess deep knowledge of the region and are capable of producing accurate, well-researched, and articulate reports in English.

The role involves supporting legal professionals, NGOs, and academic institutions by delivering detailed, country-specific insights related to political developments, human rights, social structures, and legal frameworks in East Asia.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct in-depth research and provide expert analysis on political, legal, social, and human rights conditions in your area(s) of expertise.

Deliver professional, well-documented reports to support legal cases (including asylum and immigration) and academic / public policy projects.

Review and interpret case documents in conjunction with legal standards and country-specific context.

Work collaboratively with legal teams and researchers to meet agreed deadlines and deliverables.

The Profile

Substantial knowledge and experience dealing with political, social, and / or human rights issues in one or more East Asian countries.

A background in law, political science, international relations, human rights, journalism, or a related field.

Accreditation or membership in a recognized professional body is an advantage.

A portfolio of written work (e.g., academic articles, reports, legal briefs, journalistic pieces) related to East Asia.

Fluency in English and strong writing skills are essential

Strong punctuality and ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
