The Role
You will be responsible for :
- Setting the project scope, timelines and budget as well as resource planning and activities scheduling.
- Working closely with various stakeholders on project related matters.
- Overseeing all aspects of the management and operations of the project to ensure smooth execution.
- Analysing risks and mitigating these in order to ensure that the project is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensuring the project is in compliance with internal guidelines as well as regulatory standards and requirements.
- Managing a team of 11-50 people.
Ideal Profile
Education & Certifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field .A Master’s degree in Project Management or Construction Engineering is a plus.Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) , PRINCE2 , or NEBOSH / OSHA for HSE compliance are highly preferred.Experience :
10-15 years of experience in construction management , with at least 5 years in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) role .Strong background in Polypropylene (PP), Petrochemical, or Refinery plant construction projects.Direct experience in managing EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) contracts .Proven ability to oversee multi-disciplinary teams , including subcontractors and third-party vendors.Experience with Vietnamese construction laws, permitting processes, and local building codes .Familiarity with off-site fabrication and modular construction , particularly in steel structure, piping, and mechanical works .Technical Skills :
Expertise in construction project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management .Strong knowledge of polypropylene production facilities , including mechanical, piping, and civil structural works .Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, Navisworks ).Understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) best practices and compliance with international and local regulations.Ability to coordinate with design and engineering teams , ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities :
Strong leadership and decision-making skills , capable of handling large construction teams.Effective communication and stakeholder management with clients, contractors, and authorities.Problem-solving and proactive risk mitigation mindset.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines .Fluency in Vietnamese and English (preferred for international collaboration).Additional Preferences :
Previous experience working with multinational EPC firms or foreign-invested projects .Familiarity with FIDIC contract principles and claims management .Willingness to be based at the project site for extended periods.What's on Offer?
